CIBC is expanding access to its existing ETF strategies by introducing three new mutual funds, giving advisors and investors greater flexibility in how they access the bankโs core investment exposures. The move extends CIBC Global Asset Managementโs product platform while maintaining a focus on diversified equity strategies and simplified portfolio construction.
The three new funds include the CIBC All-Equity Growth ETF Portfolio, the Avantis CIBC International Equity ETF Fund and the Avantis CIBC All-Equity Asset Allocation ETF Fund. CIBC said the mutual fund format is intended to provide another way for investors to access strategies already available through ETFs.
Meric Koksal, EVP and Head at CIBC Global Asset Management, said the expansion is designed to provide greater choice and flexibility for investors who prefer either an ETF or mutual fund vehicle. The new products complement the bankโs existing investment lineup while maintaining exposure to broad equity markets.
The CIBC All-Equity Growth ETF Portfolio completes the bankโs core CIBC ETF Portfolio lineup, providing a single-ticket solution for investors seeking long-term growth through a fully equity-based allocation.
The fund seeks long-term capital growth by investing primarily in a diversified group of underlying ETFs covering U.S., Canadian, international developed and emerging markets. This structure allows CIBC to package broad geographic equity exposure into a single portfolio solution.
The two Avantis CIBC funds add further international diversification to the platform. The Avantis CIBC International Equity ETF Fund provides exposure to developed-market equities through the Avantis CIBC International Equity ETF, while the Avantis CIBC All-Equity Asset Allocation ETF Fund provides diversified exposure across developed and emerging markets.
For CIBC Global Asset Management, these funds broaden access to research-driven global equity strategies while giving advisors another structure through which to incorporate international exposure into client portfolios.
The strategic significance of the launch is the expansion of distribution choice. CIBC now provides four core CIBC ETF Portfolios through both ETF and mutual fund structures, allowing the bank to serve investors with different preferences while maintaining broadly diversified investment exposures.
For sophisticated investors and advisors, the development strengthens CIBCโs ability to deliver portfolio solutions through multiple investment vehicles rather than relying on a single product format. It also reinforces the bankโs focus on efficient, diversified strategies that can be incorporated into broader long-term wealth structures.
