JPMorgan Chase is expanding its blockchain-based financial products across Ethereum and Solana, bringing traditional money market funds and deposit-token infrastructure into a developing institutional digital finance ecosystem.
According to figures attributed to Sentora in the supplied report, the JPMorgan OnChain Liquidity-Token Money Market Fund (JLTXX) holds approximately US$792 million across the two networks, while the My OnChain Net Yield Fund (MONY) holds an estimated US$103.1 million on Ethereum. Combined, the reported figures approach US$900 million.
The developments accelerated during October 2026. On October 19, Kinexys, JPMorgan’s blockchain unit, introduced its JPM Coin deposit token, JPMD, on Ethereum. On October 22, JPMorgan Asset Management expanded MONY and JLTXX to Solana, giving both funds access to a second blockchain.
These initiatives demonstrate how the bank is developing blockchain infrastructure alongside its established financial services. However, the scale of tokenized fund holdings should be distinguished from the market value of the underlying blockchain networks or their native cryptocurrencies.
Ethereum currently benefits from the established deployment history of JPMorgan’s tokenized products. MONY operates on Ethereum, while JLTXX launched there in May 2026 before expanding to Solana.
JPMorgan’s introduction of JPMD on Ethereum adds another layer to the network’s institutional role. The deposit token connects JPMorgan’s banking infrastructure with blockchain-based transactions, creating a potential link between traditional banking liquidity and tokenized financial assets.
This combination gives Ethereum an early advantage within JPMorgan’s current deployment strategy. Nevertheless, the supplied information does not provide a complete breakdown of JLTXX holdings by blockchain, so the precise distribution of the fund’s reported US$792 million between Ethereum and Solana cannot be established.
That distinction matters when comparing the networks. The total value of JPMorgan’s tokenized funds does not, by itself, reveal how much activity or economic benefit accrues to either blockchain.
Solana’s position has strengthened through the expansion of MONY and JLTXX, but future growth depends on how extensively institutions use the network for regulated financial products.
One potential development would be JPMorgan designating Solana as an additional network for JPMD. Another would be stablecoin issuers using JLTXX tokens to manage eligible reserves. Either scenario could increase the network’s role in institutional settlement and liquidity management.
However, these remain possibilities rather than confirmed developments in the supplied report. JPMorgan’s existing deployment does not establish that the bank will extend JPMD to Solana or that stablecoin issuers will allocate substantial reserves to JLTXX there.
For investors, the relevant distinction is between a network gaining access to institutional products and those products generating sustained activity. Adoption, transaction demand and actual fund allocations will determine how meaningful the expansion becomes.
The report notes that Ethereum traded at approximately US$2,333, down 2.1% over the week, while Solana traded near US$101, down 1.5%.
These price movements illustrate that institutional tokenization developments do not necessarily translate into immediate gains for the associated cryptocurrencies. Tokenized fund shares represent interests in regulated investment products, while ETH and SOL are native digital assets with different economic characteristics.
The relationship between institutional activity and native-token valuations depends on factors beyond the value of tokenized assets, including network usage, demand for transaction processing and broader market conditions.
JPMorgan’s tokenized funds demonstrate the continued integration of traditional asset management with blockchain infrastructure. Ethereum retains an early advantage within the bank’s product ecosystem, while Solana has gained access to two established institutional money market funds.
For investors and wealth managers, the more important indicators will be fund assets by network, additional product deployments, stablecoin reserve adoption and the development of institutional settlement activity. The reported US$900 million represents a meaningful step in tokenization, but it does not establish which blockchain will capture the greater long-term economic benefit.
