UBS Wealth Management has strengthened its U.S. advisory platform with the addition of several experienced financial advisors and teams across its Southeast Region, bringing more than $2 billion in combined client assets to the firm.
The hires reflect UBS’s continued focus on expanding its presence in major wealth centers as competition intensifies among large wealth management firms seeking to attract both advisors and affluent clients.
The newly recruited advisors are based in strategic markets including Nashville, Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, and Fort Lauderdale—regions that have experienced significant growth in affluent households and business owners over recent years.
According to UBS Southeast Region leadership, these markets continue to attract high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth individuals seeking sophisticated wealth management, investment, and estate planning services.
The firm’s Southeast Region is led by Julie Fox, who emphasized the importance of combining experienced advisors with strong local community relationships.
As wealth migration trends continue to reshape the U.S. financial landscape, firms with strong advisor networks are increasingly focusing recruitment efforts on rapidly growing metropolitan areas.
In Nashville, Financial Advisors Colby Robbins and Brock Hooper joined UBS after spending more than a decade at Merrill Lynch Wealth Management.
The team specializes in serving high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients and brings approximately $344 million in managed assets to UBS.
Nashville has emerged as one of the fastest-growing wealth markets in the United States, benefiting from population growth, business relocation activity, and expanding entrepreneurial wealth.
UBS also strengthened its Washington, D.C. presence through multiple hires.
Financial Advisors Sheldon Ray and Asif Bhally joined from Raymond James, bringing more than three decades of experience serving affluent families and business clients. Together, they oversee approximately $187 million in client assets.
Additionally, Financial Advisor Matt Teems joined UBS from Morgan Stanley. Teems has spent more than 20 years advising nonprofit organizations and institutional clients and manages approximately $149 million in assets.
The additions expand UBS’s capabilities across both private wealth management and institutional consulting services in one of the country’s most important financial and governmental centers.
In Philadelphia, UBS recruited Adam Conish, a veteran financial services executive with extensive experience working with endowments, foundations, and institutional investors.
Prior to joining UBS, Conish spent two decades at Glenmede, where he held leadership positions including Director of Endowment & Foundation Management and Portfolio Manager.
His appointment strengthens UBS’s ability to serve nonprofit organizations, foundations, and institutional clients in the region.
Advisor recruiting remains one of the most important growth drivers within the wealth management industry.
Established advisors often bring long-standing client relationships, recurring fee-based revenue, and significant assets under management. As a result, successful recruiting strategies can directly contribute to asset growth, revenue expansion, and stronger profitability over time.
For UBS, expanding its advisor base is particularly important as the firm competes against major rivals including Merrill Lynch, Morgan Stanley, JPMorgan Wealth Management, and Raymond James.
The firm’s continued investment in talent acquisition demonstrates confidence in the long-term growth potential of the U.S. wealth management market.
UBS’s recruitment of advisory teams managing more than $2 billion in client assets highlights the ongoing battle among wealth management firms for both top talent and affluent clients. By expanding its footprint in rapidly growing wealth centers such as Nashville, Washington, D.C., and Philadelphia, UBS is positioning itself to capture a larger share of high-net-worth assets while strengthening its long-term wealth management franchise across the United States.
